Katherine Bilger

Katherine Bilger has been employed at HML, Inc. (Hoosier Microbiological Laboratory) since September 2001. She has a Bachelor degree in Aquatic Biology from Ball State University.

Some of Katy's responsibilities include microbiological analyses of drinking water, wastewater, food and industrial products. Additionally, she assists in testing wastewater for E.coli and fecal coliforms. Katy is also responsible for Aircuity testing and is instrumental in the identification of bacteria and yeast using BIOLOG. She also aids with special projects as needed.

Her experience includes operating the following equipment. Spectrophotometer, light microscope, dissecting microscope, centrifuge, and the Biolog Microstation Identification System.

She is a member of the American Fisheries Society.
